Toolox 33 is a quenched and tempered tool steel, designed to have low residual stresses - resulting in good dimensional stability. It is characterised by its extremely good machinability, in combination with a hardness of 300 Brinell. The steel is particularly suited to machine components, having excellent polishing and etching ability for plastic moulds. TOOLOX 33 has the same strength and hardness as W.nr P20, 1.2311 / 1.2312 / 1.2738, etc. and far better toughness.
